If we have to put a label on it, it would be storytelling with a purpose. We learn what is interesting about our couple and what is important to them. Then we tell story in its purest form, an "anecdote", a train which the viewers can ride along and can feel you're headed towards a destination.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is your favourite video/photo style?
-
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Kelowna, Mexico, Hong Kong, you name it and we're there! Weddings outside of the Vancouver area do have additional charges, so give us a shout and tell us where you plan on having your wedding for more information.
-
Will the photos be retouched and color balanced? Is that done before I see the proofs?
Depending on your package, you receive a set number of specially edited photos that get the works in addition to all of the other photos taken that day that are lightly edited.
-
Will there be a second shooter or any assistants? Is there an additional fee for each?
We have got the manpower for your needs! Each package comes with at least two photographers or two videographers who are able to split up for different locations whenever necessary.
-
How long after the wedding do we get to see the final products?
Our team wants to make sure that what you see at the end of the day is meets and exceeds your expectations, and that can take some time. Typically crafting your unique stories can take anywhere from 3 to 4 months. We also take into account your chance to give some feedback and for us to make any revisions. A firmer timeline is included in the service agreement once we have a better understand of your needs.
-
How do you coordinate with my videographer/photographer? How do you envision working together?
We have worked with more videographers/photographers than we can count and we almost always end up friends! Like a good marriage, the key is communication so we don't get in each other's way.
-
What are the restrictions for sharing photos online or for publication? Do you own the copyright to the photos?
They are photos of you, so of course we want you to be able to share them! Post them on Facebook, Instagram or even Myspace if you're rocking it. We do own the copyrights to the content so we may use them for marketing purposes unless you specify otherwise. Look at it as a compliment!
-
What will you wear?
You don't have to worry about us showing up in bright coloured flannel or wacky hair-do's. We like to stay classy but hidden; think of well dressed ninjas. You've never seen one? Exactly.
-
Do you have insurance?
Don't sweat it, we're covered! All of our equipment are insured plus general liability.
-
What kind of equipment do you use? Do you have back ups?
Our typical go-to includes Sony A7's and Canon 5d's. It is essential for us to always have at the least two cameras rolling, and a third camera as a backup. This way we are able to ensure we get a variety of shots and that we won't miss a thing.
-
Should my event last longer than scheduled, will you stay?
Definitely, but not before a heads up before we go into overtime. It is important we plan these things out before the wedding as much as possible to make sure we have enough hours to cover everything including buffer time; but we also expect the unexpected. If things do somehow end up running behind or longer than planned, our overtime hourly rate is $300.
